SHARQ is revolutionary and traditional at the same time.

The Fulcrum Sharq wheels have been developed to improve the riding experience on tracks with mixed surfaces, from asphalt to gravel tracks. The wheelset is the result of intensive development work, advanced engineering and extensive design and testing to achieve the best possible performance. Fulcrum control the production process 100 percent. All components are manufactured in Europe and assembled in their own factories.

The Fulcrum Sharq wheels have an inner rim width of 25 mm, an optimal compromise both for road tires at least 30 mm wide, which guarantee good aerodynamics and low rolling resistance, and for wider studded tires, which offer secure grip off-road. So that the rim can be used with both tubeless systems and tubes, it is equipped with mini-hooks that guarantee maximum safety. As is usual with Fulcrum, the rim bed is not drilled and is therefore tubeless-compatible without an additional rim tape.

The new, patent-pending design of the rim is the result of an experimental development process in which the interaction of different variants with headwinds and crosswinds, which influence handling and aerodynamics, was analyzed. The resulting shape is called the 2-Wave rim and is one of the characteristic elements of SHARQ. The rim has a regular symmetrical wave at the rim nose, which merges into an asymmetrical wave at the flanks. The height of the profile varies between 42 and 47 mm, measured from the highest to the lowest part of the wave. With this new design, Fulcrum achieve an optimum balance between handling and responsiveness with excellent aerodynamics.
